Boulder Commercial Restroom Lock Received a New Cylinder and Controlled Key Set
A Boulder commercial restroom lock received a new cylinder, rekeying, and five Do Not Duplicate keys after a key broke.
Completed August 19, 2026
A commercial restroom door in Boulder required service after a key broke and new employee-bathroom keys were needed. The photographed hardware is a silver cylindrical door knob with a keyed cylinder, and the door edge shows chipped paint near the latch area.
The documented scope called for a new mortise cylinder set with housing and rekeying. Because the cylinder replacement expanded the original scope, approval was obtained before proceeding. The field record then documented replacement of the bathroom-door cylinder and rekeying.
Five new “Do Not Duplicate” keys were provided on-site. Photos show an exposed gold-colored cylinder, multiple keys held by a gloved technician, and the keyed knob with a key inserted. The job was recorded as complete, providing the commercial location with updated restroom-lock hardware and a defined set of restricted-duplication keys.
